![]() VCDS Version: Release 18.9.1 (圆4) Running on Windows 10 圆4 turns over fine, no smoke during start up attempts I found coolant in some of the connectors on the original harness in the automatic( yeah I know, coolant res and sensor) anyways, cut and connected wires from pin 5 & 9 on the 175 relay socket for the clutch switch, primed and bled IP and lines to injectors. I USED THE ENGINE HARNESS FROM THE DONOR, 03 MANUAL JETTA with the original 02 automatic ecu, yes I coded the ecu with vcds. I can set to tdc and provide pics of flywheel mark, cam and inj pump if doubted. 100% absolutely positive timing is correct. also figured since everything was out, swap in a known good 11mm fuel pump and do the timing belt. well went ahead and just swapped engine and trans from the 03 to the 02. well I only bought the 03 as a parts car to do the 5speed swap, had a leaky 10mm IP. Longer story short, while trying to diag its issues, engine oversped(don't ask) and lost timing. The 02 developed a random shut down and fail to restart which kinda I blamed on the QA since it threw the upper limit reached code and was loping super bad even after trying the "hammer mod" and diesel purge thing. Sorry for the long story but I am Just trying to provide as much details as possible:Ġ2 Jetta, loaded with all the creature comforts, automatic, 156k miles.
